and Geri Wilhelm were the Directors of the UFO Investigators League in
Fairfield, Ohio, back in the 1970s. They also investigated ghost hauntings and
Bigfoot sightings in addition to UFO’s. Growing up in this type of environment
and having the passion for writing is what drove Rebekkah at an early age to
write stories dealing with the paranormal. At one point in her life, she thought
she wanted to be a journalist, and although she enjoyed writing articles, she
quickly discovered her real passion was writing fiction. Her fascination with

Okay, so since I decided to sign up for the tour, I really really wanted to like the book.
I mean, seriously, I was practically begging for it.
Then I saw some awesome reviews from other who were on the tour also, and I thought, YES! I get to be part of an awesome book promo!
But, unfortunately then I started reading it.
I honestly couldn't finish the book, and I HATE when that happens.
Now, why couldn't I finish the book? You may ask.
It's simple really. The love interest between Paige and Nathan is COMPLETELY unrealistic. Sure, I love a good book that has a strong automatic connection between two characters. I love when a book has a 'love at first sight' aspect to it and the two MC's can't stand the thought to live without one another. That makes for a great romance IF written correctly.
But, when the two MCs are automatically in love with each other after spending twenty minutes DRIVING HOME, then are completely devastated by their love for each other and don't want to be away from each other AFTER A DAY then, yeah, I have a problem with love at first sight.
It doesn't help when every couple of sentences in the dialogue comments like this are made. "I know we just met yesterday but blah blah blah."
Over use of that keeps a person stuck on the fact that the characters just met yesterday. Yes, I get that, I'm not a moron and unless you want me to assume that they are if they can't even remember when they met then please don't have them say the like every damn paragraph.
Now, you may be saying to yourself, 'But this book isn't a romance'. You'd be right, its not.
And that brings me to another reason why I couldn't finish this book.
The 'paranormal' aspect of it, is, well, just really weak to me. In the beginning, you're introduced in the paranormal aspect when the MC keeps calling herself a 'freak' because she has premonitions... and her premonitions are voices in her head that whisper to her.... ummmm okay. I'm not expert but premonitions does that not make. o.O
Also, its kinda rude to be calling herself a freak when in almost every culture having premonitions is considered a valued trait, and in a lot of cultures the person who has premonitions is worshipped as the incarnation of a God, or touched by a God, thus being 'blessed'. Now, I wouldn't have a problem with the MC thinking herself as weird, or thinking that if she told anyone she would end up in the nearest mental hospital under electroshock therapy because everyone thinks that she's crazy, because both of those would be valid emotional connections to the 'premonitions'.
But, she doesn't, and instead of embracing that side of her, she tries to hide away from it. o.O That's always the worst thing that you can do with any sort of 'power'.
Now, overall what had me stop reading instead of just being rather annoyed from the book, was with the MC herself.
She has one too many conflicting character traits, along with the most ANNOYING and character hate worthy thing that a writer can have as a trait of her MC.... having them cry.... A LOT.
Now, some tears at a pivotal moment in a book or at a emotional wrecking scene in order to enhance said scene makes a severe emotional display welcome.
BUT when the MC is crying over every flipping thing I mean, come ON that's just ridiculous and the most annoying trait that ANYONE could create for their character.
It seriously made me throw my Kindle in frustration.
So, those are the main things that I didn't like about this book. I know that my opinion is just that, an opinion and there have been many people who have loved and raved about this book. It's just not for me but I do recommend that people go out and see for themselves if they like it. I would hate for anyone to not get it on my account and miss out on a book they could very possibly love.

So just remember, you can take my review into consideration, but PLEASE remember that other people have loved this book and if you don't at least give it a shot then you'll never know if you have missed a book that you would of ended up loving.
